What Missions Interlink Does
We CONNECT people with similar interests. Forums
include Training Providers, Church Mission Leaders, Mobilisers,
Administrators,
Missionary & MK Care Givers, Agency Leaders with special
ministry focus etc.
We ENCOURAGE such groups to initiate joint activities, accomplishing
more in partnership than they can in isolation.
We PROMOTE church and agency dialogue.
We INVESTIGATE issues and inform the missions community of
developments.
We SPEAK on behalf of the missions community to government,
the wider church, and regulatory bodies.
We ACT as a clearing house for ideas, trends, concerns.
We AFFIRM Maori,
Pacific Island, Asian and other non-western expressions of
Mission.
We CONSULT with churches, agencies, and schools on trends,
organizational and relational issues.
We COMMUNICATE through regular bulletins and communiqués
to select audiences.
We CO-SPONSOR regular courses for mission partners such as
Discovery Orientation Course, Refresher & Re-Orientation
Week, Enrichment Retreats.
We FACILITATE specialized training and reflective retreats
for mission practitioners.
Connecting Internationally
Missions Interlink (NZ) is affiliated with the World Evangelical
Alliance’s Missions Commission. This gives connections
with mission movements in older sending countries like UK and
USA and in newer ones like Nigeria, Korea, Brazil and India.
These connections keep us up to date with exciting new models
of mission, and the encouraging and authentic stories of God’s
work in the developing world.
We represent the vibrancy of NZ’s own creativity in
cross-cultural outreach to the wider missions world.
The WEA Religious Liberty Commission keeps us accurately informed
of pressures on Christians around the globe.

Links.
